I’m so proud of you for going out there to spend some time with your grandmother. My last living grandparent died around Thanksgiving in 2023 and she made it to 94.

You’ll never regret visiting your grandparents, but you will regret not visiting them, and so often we can neglect being there for our parents and grandparents when they become elderly. I’m proud of you for making family and friends a priority in your life, Dr. Jake. A lot of people neglect both, to their own detriment and to the detriment of those around them.

Thank you for spending this valuable time with your grandma and the lessons you've learned from her, which we can also learn from. One day, you will reap what you sow, and you will be blessed for the care and love you provide to your grandma and family. 🙏🌹

Such a lovely story! Your grandma is beautiful! It is so nice to see such a heartfelt post and message! Grandparents are so special, and we can learn so much from them. My grandma lived to be 96! She was a gem, just like your grandma!

My mom is almost 91 and she’s still full of life. She says it’s her faith that’s sustained her and kept her going through life’s ups and downs.

More people need to spend time with their ones, whether they are related by birth or by choice. I suggest all lives with be richer for the effort. Thank you for being one of those and best wishes to the wise one.

Jake was my father’s name. He was a pilot for the USAF for 30+ years. My daughters called him Col. Jake.

Question: Dr. Chris Palmer (I think that is his name) wrote a book about how diet affects mental health. He put patients on a keto diet and some were able to reduce or eliminate psychological drugs. Will that be in your tool box too?
