Wishing you a wonderful career as you embark on your new practice, Dr. Jake. Congratulations on completing your residency which I know represents many years of hard work and dedication. It's great to hear that your spouse is also a physician so you can be a support for each other. San Diego sounds like a great place to live as well. I've enjoyed reading your newsletter which I find to be very informative. Many thanks and all the best!

I’m happy to see you routinely test for vitamin D. It’s so important and typically overlooked.

I appreciate your positive and refreshing energy. Best of luck to you. I wish you were in the Georgia area. Your message was needed and wise, however, I’m sure Medicare doesn’t cover all of those tests and unless you’re one of the many new billionaires…

As for mental health, I have previously mentioned, the new trend here, is to not accept Medicare. I’m sure it’s a pain to deal with, but, since it’s for older people why not just drop it? Besides if we are healthy enough to, we are out in the streets protesting the chaos caused by the recent change in attitudes by the political climate. I digress, best wishes for a bright and healthy future, really!

The Democrats created 10 federal offices for women's health, and zero offices for men's health. There are 4 times more male suicides than female suicides, but that issue gets zero federal funding. This will be a challenge for every medical doctor and psychiatrist that has concern for men.

I didn’t specify men or women. Or Democrats or republicans. I’m simply talking about healthcare and mental illness and the lack of help for elderly without funds to pay out-of-pocket! And the needs are great in this climate of uncertainty.

Thanks for the post. I have heard that PEMF can re-grow nerves damaged by diabetic neuropathy.
